Areas We Cover
Bordered by eight other counties – East Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk is the most beautiful county of all, Lincolnshire. Our coastline stretches over 50 miles and many of our beaches have been awarded Blue Flag status, which means we keep our beaches tidy and our water quality high and safe. We are also the largest UK provider of potatoes, wheat, cereal and poultry, if you are a massive fan of potatoes you need to try Hog Roast Billinghay’s roasted new potatoes with garlic and rosemary.
Lincolnshire has birthed many celebrities including Jennifer Saunders the comedian, Margaret Thatcher the former Prime Minister and Jim Broadbent the actor. With even more famous buildings such as Woolsthorpe Manor where Sir Isaac Newton discovered gravity, Burghley House where Pride and Prejudice was filmed and Lincoln Castle built by William the Conqueror. Inventions that made the world we live in today were designed and built in Lincolnshire such as the first ever tanks, the turbojet engine and barcodes.
Lincolnshire has created many foods in the past, but the most unforgettable food is Lincolnshire sausages made with sage, parsley and thyme. Some rather weirder foods created here are Haslet, which comes from the French word hastilles meaning entrails. Stuffed Chine is a cut of pork between the shoulder blades, salted up for ten months, stuffed with parsley and always served cold.
Whether your event is being held in Lincoln Cathedral (which has a library designed by Sir Christopher Wren) or Humberside Airport (the only airport in Lincolnshire), Hog Roast Billinghay can provide our mobile catering services to you, with our equipment making Hog Roast Billinghay fully self-sufficient! Above is a list of towns and cities we have catered in, however we are always happy to travel further to bring our delicious food to you. From Immingham to Market Deeping and everything in-between.
